DRIVE MOYA-THE GREAT END(CD-NOISE APPEAL NOISE 182)

Skönt stökigt i början av skivan och i låten Your Heart Will never burst och jag får tankar både på Wedding Present och Smiths på samma gång. Mycket av att det låter lite som Smiths beror på sångaren tycker jag som har drag av just Smiths sångare Morrissey. Men jag gillar gitarren som ibland är riktigt vacker och ibland stökar den till och blir mer än rikligt distad inledningsvis. De fortsätter på samma sätt i de nästkommande låtarna, distad gitarr, snygga melodislingor etc och de får till ett ganska eget sound i de nio låtarna tycker jag. Självklart svårt att låta eget nuförtiden men jag tycker ändå att de får till ett sound som kan stå för sig själv. Detta kommer att bli en skiva som jag kommer att lyssna en hel del på faktiskt fast det inte är punkrock utan detta är högkvalitativ indiemusik och det är inte fy skam det heller! 16/2-2024

It ́s really messy in the beginning of the record and in the song Your Heart Will never burst and I get thoughts of both Wedding Present and Smiths in the same time. Much of the fact that it sounds a little like Smiths depends on the singer, I think, which have traits of Smiths singer Morrissey. But I like the guitar which is sometimes really beautiful and sometimes it makes a mess and becomes more than richly distorted initially. They continue in the same way in the next songs, distorted guitar, nice melodies etc and they get foreword a really own sound in the nine songs I think. Of course it ́s hard to sound own nowadays but I still think that they get foreword a sound which can stand for itself. This will be a record that I will listen to a lot actually even though it is not punk rock but this is high quality indie music and it is not too bad either! 16/2-2024

Musik som är ganska svävande inledningsvis och som ett snällare Killing Joke(80-talet) eller tidiga Cure eller något sådant är vad vi får i inledande Cold water och det känns som en ganska skön inledning och det känns avslappnande på något sätt. I White Leaf blir det mer och mer uppenbart att gruppen måste snöat in på Cures Primary för de basgångarna liknar de som finns där. Inte så att det låter som den skivan utan jag mer menar sättet att låta basen dominera. Jag gilalr soundet ganska bra men blir kanske lite för lugnt ibland men som bakgrundsmusik när man tar en liten nap eller något liknande så är den ypperlig och jag tror säkert att Drive Moya har mycket att ge där. Men att bevittna en livekonsert med gruppen kanske inte är någon höjdare men jag kan ha fel. Shoegaze är väl vad denna musik kallas också ibland…27/11-2019

Music that is quite floating initially and like a kinder Killing Joke (80s) or early Cure or something like that is what we get in introductory Cold water and it feels like a pretty nice introduction and it feels relaxing in some way. In White Leaf, it is becoming more and more obvious that the group has to snow in on Cures Primary for the basssound is similar to those found there. Not that it sounds like that disc but I mean more the way to let the bass dominate. I like the sound pretty good but maybe get a little too quiet sometimes but as a background music when you take a small nap or something like that it is excellent and I certainly think that Drive Moya has a lot to give there. But witnessing a live concert with the group may not be a highlight, but I maybe wrong. Shoegaze is what this music is sometimes called… 27/11-2019
