DISCHARGE-PROTEST AND SURVIVE(2CD BMG)

Ännu en samling med Discharge-låtar. Kan det bli för många egentligen. Det kan det väl men gruppens låtar är såpass bra så de är värda att spridas många gånger. På första CD.n hörs alster som The Blood runs Red, protest and survive, Realities of war, Decontrol och Never again. Jag skulle kunna räkna upp i princip alla låtar som är små hits i hardcorevärlden. Har ni aldrig hört deras låtar får ni egentligen skylla er själva och denna samling är väl lite bredare än vad vi brukar få höra från gruppen och spänner mer över större delar av deras karriär och inte bara från de tidiga åren. På CD 2 får vi en outgiven låt plus 2004 års versioner av gamla låtar, lite live och lite demolåtar tillsammans med lite remixer och extendedversion-låtar och det blir en annorlunda samling med allt detta. Så det gör det till en lite annorlunda samling måste jag nog säga. Men jag gillar tanken att ge oss lite annorlunda saker än vi vanliga fans är vana vid. 7/2-2020

DISCHARGE-PROTEST AND SURVIVE(2CD BMG)

Another collection of Discharge songs. Can there be too many really. It may well, but the group's songs are so good so they are worth spreading many times. On the first CD you will hear songs like The Blood runs Red, protest and survive, Realities of war, Decontrol and Never again. I could list almost all songs that are small hits in the hardcore world. If you have never heard their songs, you can really blame yourself, and this collection is a little wider than what we usually hear from the group and spans more over much of their careers and not just from the early years. On CD 2 we get an unreleased song plus 2004 versions of old songs, some live and some demo songs along with some remixes and extended version songs and there will be a different collection with all this. So that makes it a slightly different collection I must say. But I like the idea of ​​giving us slightly different things than we ordinary fans are used to. 7/2-2020

DISCHARGE-SOCIETY´S VICTIM(3 CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS WW0068CD)

En trippel CD med egentligen det viktigaste som de har gjort. På skiva ett är det singlarna Realities of War, Fight Back, Decontrol, State Violence, Never again och Warning, Price of silence, The More I see och Ignorance tillsammans med tolvtummaren Why. Ni kan kanske förstå att detta är en skiva som är så fruktansvärt bra! Det är en skiva så fylld med bra musik som man nästan tror att det är overkligt. Det kanske inte är så att dagens hardcorekids tycker att ljudet etc är det allra bästa men om ni bara visste vad Discharge har betytt för era idoler idag. Skiva två har världens bästa fullängdare när det gäller tidig hardcore Hear Nothing See Nothing….detta är 12 låtar av allra högsta kvalité och gillar ni inte detta är ni dumma i huvudet ;-) De resterande låtarna på tvåan är spridda skurar från Grave New World, Massacre Divine, Shootin Up the world och den självbetitlade skivan från 2002. På sista skivan är det mest livelåtar från diverse skivor men det som är mest intressant på den skivan är de fem då nyinspelade låtarna med Rat på sång och det är fräckt att lyssna till… 13/7-2016

A triple CD with really the main things that they have done. On disc one, it is singles like Realities of War, Fight Back, Decontrol, State Violence, Never again, Warning, Price of Silence, The More I see and Ignorance along with the twelve inch Why. Perhaps you can understand that this is an album that is so terribly good! It is a disc filled with great music that you almost think it's unreal. It might not be so today's hardcore kids think the sound etc is the very best, but if you only knew what Discharge has meant to your idols today. Disc two has the world's best full-length album in terms of early hardcore Hear Nothing See Nothing ... .this is 12 tracks of the highest quality and do you not like this, you are stupid ;-) The remaining songs on the runner's scattered showers from the Grave New World , Massacre Divine, Shootin Up the World and the self-titled album from 2002. On the last disc is the most live tracks from various CDs, but what is most interesting on the disc are the five then newly recorded songs with Rat on vocals and it's cool to listen to ... 13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-DECONTROL-THE SINGLES(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS WW063CD)

En del grupper har ute hur många samlingar som helst. Discharge är en av dem men det gör kanske inte så mycket för låtarna är ju alltid superba. På denna skiva så är det singlarna som är samlade och det kan inte bli så mycket bättre än såhär egentligen. Eller vad sägs om låtar som They declare it, Decontrol, Never again och Doomsday. Vilka klassiker de har gjort och även om ljudet är ganska tunt egentligen så är det så stilbildande och det trodde de kanske inte när de slog an sina första ackord..Ska ni bara ha en skiva med gruppen så skulle det kunna vara den här även om en del fullängdslåtar fattas men som hardcorepionjärer är det underbart att lyssna till….13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-DECONTROL-THE SINGLES(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS WW0063CD)

Some groups have out how many collections overall. Discharge is one of them but it does not do so much for the songs is always superb. On this record, it's the singles that are collected and it can not get much better than this really. Or what about songs like They declare it, Decontrol, Never again, and Doomsday. Which classics they have done and although the sound is pretty thin, really, it's so iconic and it is thought they may not when they struck their first chord..would you have only one disc of the group, it could be this though some full-length songs is missing but as hardcore pioneers, it is wonderful to listen to ... .13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES…LIVE(CD- WESTWORLD RECORDINGS WW0067CD)

Jag vet inte riktigt när denna liveskiva är inspelad men jag såg gruppen 1983 tror jag det var på Sprängkullen i Göteborg. En omtumlande upplevelse var det i alla fall och det kan jag tänka mig att det var för de som såg denna livespelning också. Vad som slår mig när jag hör skivan med en gång är att det var ett väldigt bra ljud. Jag har hört en liveinspelning från Göteborg och den var i och för sig gjord på en liten bandspelare men inte alls så här bra. Cal sjunger på ett lite annorlunda vis och gruppen spelar på som om den sista stunden på jorden vore kommen. Som vanligt är det fantastikt bra låtar med Never again, Protest and Survive och Realities of war som toppar och självklart Why? Och Doomsday såklart och det finns inga dåliga låtar när den här gruppen körde sina liveset på den tiden. 13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES…LIVE(CD- WESTWORLD RECORDINGS WW0067CD)

I do not really know when this live album was recorded but I saw the group in 1983, I believe it was on Sprängkullen in Gothenburg. A bewildering experience was it anyway and I can imagine that it was for those who saw this live performance as well. What strikes me when I hear the disc at once that it was a very good sound. I have heard a live recording from Gothenburg and it was in itself made on a small tape recorder, but not this good. Cal sings in a slightly different way, and the group plays at that last moment as if the earth would go under. As usual, it is fantastic good songs  like Never again, Protest and Survive and Realities of War, which tops and obviously Why? and Doomsday course and there was no bad songs when this group did their live set at the time. 13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-LIVE AT THE CITY GARDEN NEW JERSEY(CD- WESTWORLD RECORDINGS WW0066CD)

I slutet av 1983(33 år sedan!) spelades denna konsert in och då var Discharge på en och en halv månads turné i USA. Här är det verkligen inte så bra ljud på skivan som det står ovan om. Här är det mer det soundet som jag hörde på den liveinspelning som jag hade en kompis som gjorde i Göteborg. Men man kan inte ta ifrån de att de kör bra låtar och med låtar som Never Again, the More I see, Protest and Survive och Decontrol så är det svårt att misslyckas. Så jag tror säkert att för de som var där så var det en oförglömlig upplevelse även om ljudet på denna skiva inte är det bästa. Så den här skivan blir lite mer som en bootleg i ljudet och det känns äkta helt klart men kanske inte någon skiva man drar fram när man vill visa gruppens storhet och detta är nog endast för samlare. 13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-LIVE AT THE CITY GARDEN NEW JERSEY(CD- WESTWORLD RECORDINGS WW0066CD)

At the end of 1983 (33 years ago!), This concert was recorded then and then Discharge hadof one and a half month tour of the USA. Here it is really not that great sound as on the disc as stated above on. Here it is more the sound that I heard on the live recording I had a friend who did in Gothenburg. But you can not take away from those guys that they have good tunes and songs like Never Again, The More I see, Protest and Survive and Decontrol so it is difficult to fail. So I'm sure that for those who were there, it was an unforgettable experience, even if the sound on this album is not the best. So this album is a bit more like a bootleg in the sound and it feels genuine clearly but perhaps not any disc you put on the player when you want to show the group's greatness, and this is only something for collectors. 13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-SHOOTING UP THE WORLD(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS)

1993 Fick denna skiva se dagens ljus och jag vet att jag hade väntat på den länge. Kanske inte den Discharge platta jag rankar högst men om det inte hade varit Discharge så hade jag nog gillat den mer. Tung hardcoremetal eller vad man ska kalla det. Sången låter lätt desperat och det är härligt och det är något jag uppskattar men jag hade nog uppskattat lite mer tempo i låtarna ändå men visst tyngden är trevlig också. Det får vi efter den långa inledningen i Manson Child även om det inte är det tidiga Discharge vi hör men detta är en klart bättre skiva än Grave new World i alla fall. 13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-SHOOTING UP THE WORLD(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS)

In 1993, this album see the light of day and I know that I had been waiting for a long time. Maybe not the Discharge record I rank highest, but if it had not been Discharge so I probably liked it more. Heavy metal hardcore or what to call it. The song sounds slightly desperate and it's wonderful and it's something I appreciate but I had probably appreciated a bit more pace in the songs yet but sure the weight is nice too. We get more speed after the long preamble Manson Child even though it is not the early Discharge we hear but this is a much better album than the Grave New World, anyway. 13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-DISCHARGE(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS)

2002 var året för denna skiva och det var Cals sista skiva med gruppen. Här var de tillbaka i gammal gott slag igen. Det är ju på detta vis man vill höra en grupp som Discharge. Med sylvassa gitarrer, snabba trummor och en sångare som låter riktigt förbannad. Det lyckades de med på denna utgåva och jag gillar verkligen låtar som Almost Alive, M.A:D. och You för att nämna några. Kanske inte låtar som är riktigt lika bra som de klassiska alstren men inte så långt ifrån. Jag tycker nog att musikaliskt har de utvecklats till en riktigt bra hardcoregrupp här och även ljudet har fått ett uppsving om man jämför med de tidiga skivorna. En måste skiva med Discharge. 13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-DISCHARGE(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS)

2002 was the year for this album and it was Cal's last album with the group. Here they were back in the good old style again. It is in this way one wants to hear a group like Discharge. With razor sharp guitars, fast drums and a singer who sounds really angry. It succeeded with this issue and I really like the songs Almost Alive, M. A. D. and You, to name a few. Maybe not the songs that are quite as good as the classic songs but not so far away. I think that musically, they have developed into a really good hardcore group here, and even the sound has received a boost when compared with the early discs. A must-have record with Discharge. 13/7-2016

DISCHARGE-GRAVE NEW WORLD(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS)

Den här skivan är ju skivan som är den svarta tiden i Discharges historia och jag förstår lite vad folk menar. Cal skulle börja sjunga metall istället för hardcore och det verkade vara meningsskiljaktigheter här. Jag vet att jag inte var förtjust i skivan på den tiden men det har blivit lite bättre nu men jag tar fortfarande lite som ett skämt på metal men den är ändå ett måste i samlingen även om man inte lyssnar på den varje dag så känns det ändå som om man måste ha varje Discharge-skiva som getts ut. Här är det inga korta låtar som vi är vana vid när det gäller Discharge utan här får Cal spotta ut sin ilska i mycket längre låtar och jag kan tänka mig att det var jobbigt live med så långa låtar för hans del eftersom hans röst inte verkar vara gjord för just sådana. 10/6-2016

DISCHARGE-GRAVE NEW WORLD(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS)

This disc is the disc that is the black period in the history of Discharge and I understand a little bit what people mean. Cal would start singing metal instead of hardcore and there appeared to be differences of opinions here. I know I was not fond of the disc at the time, but it has become a little better now but I still take a little as a joke on the metal but it is still a must in the collection, even if you do not listen to it every day so it still feels as if you have to have every Discharge disc issued. This is no short songs that we are used to when it comes to Discharge but here you get Cal spit out their anger in much longer songs and I can imagine it was tough live with as long songs for him because his voice did not seem to be made for just that. 10/6-2016

DISCHARGE-MASSACRE DIVINE(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS)

Här hade Cal lyckats få till en lite bättre stil musikaliskt tycker jag. Visst är det fortfarande metal men med en mer hardcorestil. Han sjunger lite annorlunda och det låter nästa som om Brian Johnson från AC/DC har tagit plats bakom mikrofonen och jag saknar Cals gamla sångstil. Kanske inte en skiva jag har lyssnat på så mycket men den åker på ibland när jag vill höra lite punkmetal och denna gång får vi några extralåtar med andra mixar på skivan. Vill man ha allt med gruppen är detta ett självklart val att göra…att köpa denna skiva alltså. Det finns en del pärlor på skivan faktiskt och jag uppskattar den mer nu 25 år efter att den kom från början! 10/6-2016

DISCHARGE-MASSACRE DIVINE(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS)

Here Cal had managed to get a little better style musically, I think. Sure it's still metal, but with a more hardcore style. He sings a bit different and it sounds almost as if Brian Johnson of AC / DC have taken place behind the microphone and I miss Cal's old vocal style. Maybe not a record I've listened to so much but it goes on sometimes when I want to hear some punk metal and this time we get a few extra songs with other mixes on the disc. If you want everything with the group, this is an obvious choice to make ... to buy this album, that is. There are some gems on the album actually and I appreciate it more now, 25 years after it was from the beginning! 10/6-2016
