CARRICK, RUSS-BEAYOND THE HEADLIGHTS REACH(CD)

Hade ingen riktig koll på denne man när hans skiva börjar så blir jag positivt överraskad för hans musik är en som en blandning av tidiga Elvis Costello, Pixies och Weezer för att göra ett försök att beskriva musiken som han spelar. Så denna skiva är fylld av melodier som ni Kanske förstår men det är ingen vanlig singer-songwriter skiva utan här är det en newwave/powerpop-skiva som är fylld av låtar som alla är små hits. Jag har ju sagt en del band men alla de känns fel men ändå rätt efter ett tag och jag får väl göra en pudel där men att det spelas newwave/powerpop är väl i alla fall inte fel och Russ Carrick är en intressant artist i alla fall. I Came to find you är det lite blås och den låten påminner mig lite om när Saints började med blås och det tyckte jag var fräckt då och det håller än.  Lekfullt är ordet för hans musik och det på ett positivt sätt…kolla in!  Missa inte Bad faith där jag tycker Ozzy Osbourne möter punkrock. 14/4-2021

Had no real control over this man when his record starts so I will be pleasantly surprised because his music is one that is a mix of early Elvis Costello, Pixies and Weezer to make an attempt to describe the music he plays. So this record is full of melodies that you may understand but it is not an ordinary singer-songwriter record but here it is a newwave / powerpop record that is full of songs that are all small hits. I have said some bands but they all feel wrong but still right after a while and I may well make a poodle there but that it is played newwave / powerpop is well in any case not wrong and Russ Carrick is an interesting artist in any case . In Came to find you it's a bit of horns and that song reminds me a bit of when the Saints started with horns and I thought it was cool then and it still holds. Playful is the word for his music and that in a positive way… check it out! Don´t miss Bad Faith there I think Ozzy Osbourne meets punkrock. 14/4-2021
